In the first few days following your oral surgery, you should focus on rest, relaxation, and giving your body time to heal. Following the post-operative guidelines we provide is essential to your recovery and keeps you as comfortable and pain-free as possible. Overdoing things too soon after surgery can lead to unpleasant complications.

Post-Operative Care Package

We send all our post-operative patients home with a complimentary care package to provide a bit of comfort to our patients. Dr. Geisler and her staff thoughtfully put together customized care packages that include:

  • A dosing calendar for easier, safer use of medications
  • Aloe Vera gel to promote healing
  • Toothbrush & paste
  • Irrigation tool for cleaning the surgical site
  • Chapstick to soothe dry, chapped lips (common after oral surgery)
  • Tea bags for a soothing afternoon sip or to apply to the surgical site (tea is a natural anti-inflammatory)
