Professional Integrity
Dr. Geisler’s Training and Background
As a patient, it can be confusing to determine who is an expert versus who is not. Entrusting your health to a surgeon, or the health of a loved one, is an important decision. Unfortunately, it is easy today to find examples of health care providers professing to be experts at procedures that they may have inadequate training to perform. If you suffer a complication from your procedure or if your procedure is complex, you want assurance that you will receive the best outcome. This assurance of excellent surgical care only comes through training of the surgeon to develop their natural gifts and professional integrity.
Dr. Geisler is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over twenty-five years of surgical experience. She received her education from the Universities of California, Texas and North Carolina as well as Case Western Reserve. She is a past assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Oregon Health and Science University.
Dr. Geisler is an author of several evidence based reviews for the American Dental Association and is an award winning reviewer for the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Her research on genotype and survival for patients diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma has been cited over two hundred times in the literature.
