Stacy A. Geisler, DDS, PhD
Board Certified Oral Surgeon Serving Lake Oswego & Portland, OR
Meet Dr. Geisler
Welcome to the practice of Dr. Stacy Geisler, the first woman to be a certified diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in our state of Oregon.
Dr. Geisler’s heart and mission for her practice is to provide excellent, compassionate and individualized surgical care for those in need. This principle guides everything that she does.
Raised in northern California, Dr. Geisler attended the University of California at Davis while serving as a firefighter for Cal Fire. Her internship with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon while an undergraduate student at UC Davis motivated her to pursue becoming a surgeon herself. Following graduation from UC Davis, she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland OH in 1992; surgical training at University of Texas, Houston in 1996 and finally a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001. Her training includes a Fellowship from the National Institute of Health completed while at UNC Chapel Hill. Dr. Geisler also completed training for complex facial abnormalities in Aarhus, Denmark.
Dr. Geisler has earned awards and honors over the past 25 years that could fill a book, but the heart of her practice and the backbone of all she does is grounded in her passion for mission work and providing for those living in poverty.
Helping Those Across the Globe
Dr. Geisler has traveled the world serving those in need in West Africa. She has worked with World Vision as well as Medical Teams International to provide surgical care in Senegal and Burkina Faso on mission trips. Her philanthropy also extends through providing clean drinking water for various communities in Africa through Walk For Water and World Vision.
Reaching Children Close to Home
Closer to home, Dr. Geisler and her staff have provided free dental care for Give Kids A Smile in Northeast Portland as well as Portland based Mission of Mercy projects. Locally, her philanthropy has also included thePink Eraser Project, Hunger Fighters, Love Inc, and the Lake Oswego Arts Council Gallery Without Walls.

The first oral and maxillofacial surgeon to serve on the Health Evidence Review Commission (HERC) with the Oregon Health Authority and currently the only oral health advocate, Dr. Geisler is excited to participate in guiding the Oregon legislature in making health related decisions that benefit the people of Oregon receiving Medicaid benefits. Dr. Geisler was recently reappointed to the Commission by Governor Tina Kotek and was confirmed by the Senate in 2025. She previously completed a four year term appointment by Governor Kate Brown which began in 2021.
